drive shaft/cv boot

Have now got a tube of grease, how easy will it be to get the grease in with the boot still in place. Thinking of using a pointy thing like from glue tubes and putting it under the end of the boot and squirting in a bit at a time. Anyone any other ideas?

it's not rocket science Rob i even did the old mans inner and outer on his corsa C

the only other thing you will need is some crimper pliers or a hammer,flat bladed screwdriver and a brick

Only thing that troubles me are the balljoints. I'm useless at them. Need to get the wheel off and see if the boot needs replacing now as well. If you want to pm me your moby that could be helpful at some point if i get really stuck.

Suspecting the cable tie on the driveshaft end has loosened hence grease coming out. Was jacking it up to give the calipres a clean up anyway.

had a little looky around and its either 6 squid for a boot or 60 squid each side (shaft,cv and new abs rings)

£60 driveshaft each? that mechanic thats got my calibra's telling me for mine its £240 for the pair & his 1st quote was £500 each side! one of my mates wer shocked when i said that to him & he asked wer they gold plated at that price! anyway i get my new SE2 thursday!
