Halfords Break Pads

Any issues relating to suspension, steering and brakes.

Anybody know if Halfords break pads are any good :?: My turbo's service is coming up and I normally buy all other parts from there (oil filter, air filter etc etc) and was wondering if I should get my pads from there as well.

Any views :?:

I've never had any problems with Halfords parts as a whole.

What's the diff in price between Halfords and VX main dealer.
As a club member you can get discounts from VX which works out cheaper than Halfords.
Remember there are two types of brake pads for the C20LET. Make sure you get the right ones.

I use VX main dealer pads with black diamond disks and they work fine

Toddy,

I don't know about the Halfords pads but why not just use the trade club discount and get Vauxhall ones... they'll be cheaper than the Halfords ones.

Not bothered about paying that little extra if it means I don't have to hand over my money to my local Vx dealer  (who I don't really care for).

How do I know which ones to get if there are two types?

Mines a 1993 Cally Turbo.

Cheers,

I would have thought so, but only when used with the trade club. My new rear pads for example were just under £10.
