lowering the calibra

been looking at lowering the calibra seen some kits on ebay that would drop it 60mm all round would it look silly that low ? does any 1 have any pics the car is on 17inch wheels and are these kits any good ?

personally i think 40mm is enough of a drop. never heard of the kit you've linked to on ebay. doesnt mean is not good but think you should stick to whats been tried and tested ie koni, gmax and bilstien

that kit looks aload of crap.my advise is just lower your cally 40mm.60mm is to low also your front wheels might rub on your arches.

I've got bilstein shocks an eibach springs from on line-line auto sport next day delivery, will cost a few more quid but a well known brand and if there not right it'll be easier to sort out lmf do various kits to!

Koni has good reviews.

Bilstein shocks with Eibach springs give about 20% more stiffness IIRC, a good setup.

Gmax kit's are also very good, a lot of people fit them and very few complain. The Gmax website itself is one of the cheapest last time I looked if you go down that route:

Double check it's the right one but I think it is. You may find it cheaper now if you shop around

Previous Calibra V6 on a 40mm spring drop on standard shocks, never again much better to fit a complete kit.

Shocks and springs on a complete kit are designed to work together.

never just do the springs because it would handle like a buss,when i first picked my V6 up Baz had dropped it on springs,i would never reccomend anyone doing this as it spoils the ride big time.
and the shocks will be like bicycle pumps

I did and it wasn't that bad but once i got new shocks it was amazing diffrence so wouldn't do it that way again so have too agree with the others and change them both at the same time

well im glad i read this because i was going to lower mine only on spring looks like i will have to keep savin the pennies lol
