I've now got a Spax VSX suspension kit. Got it off someone at work who never got round to fitting it. Got it for £130. Gonna fit it this week but heard that the fronts are a pain to to do. :banging:

They aint that bad, its the ball joints that are a bit of a pain but with the right tools you will be dancin, (ball joint splitter) and a big pair of stilsons i found very handy for undoing the shocks :) Back is easy peasy!

ball joint splitter ...no no no ......long bar and a person on the other end and then hit the bit the ball joint goes through, wont damage the ball joint that way (unless you miss with hammer)

It took a a pinch bar with 15 stone on the end of it, and a big concrete hammer with the ball joint splitter just to get mine off!!!! Only took me 2 days to get them undone :) Im just a useless git when it comes to stuff like this :banging:

Already had them apart last week because of a knocking noise, found play in damper shaft hence new suspension all round.

Ive got the rear done today, that was easy. Ive got one front strut off. Used a ball joint seperator. I will fit new track rod ends and anit roll bar links while im at it, then it be one less thing to worry about. I will take the strut into work with me tonight and put it an a big vice and use pair of stilsons. Should be done by the weekend. :)
