iv been looking for a caliper (front passanger side) and everyone iv looked at is deferant to mine can i fit diferant calipers to my hub even if they are of a v6 and will i have to change the discs too

in what way are they different ?? as far as I was aware there are only two for the V6 and that is the early and later ones, and that was due to the different size of the disc

Vectra one should also fit if they have the same disc size as yours...what size of disc is it you have

mine is a 1994 on a m reg and the disc size measures at 284 mm aprox (these are the old 1's iv removed)

ahe so yes your better getting the full set up of the other car, discs calipers and caliper carriers ...should all swap over

the smaller V6 discs are harder to source, so be better off doing it

no they wont ...you need the correct size disc for the caliper , sorry to say

another option is take your old caliper to a machine shop, get the old bleed nipple drilled out and have another bleed nipple slightly larger thread. they can then re tap it to make that fit

the problem is iv done that and they arnt holding pressure when the bleed nips are in

i think i will have to keep looking for the right caliper as money is tight at the moment and carnt real aford new disks again

maneged to get a pair of calipers this morning out of a local paper for £20 fingers crossed they both look the same as mine and all the bolt holes match up but they are of an early cavaler turbo
