v6 gets some new stoppers

by Allys Cally » Sun Jun 06, 2010 4:11 pm

with the v6 due to go back on the road i thought it might be better to get the front brakes sorted. this was mainly due to it shuddering when braking just before it got put off the road last year.so i'm guessing the discs were warped :(

Image

it took me longer to get the bloody caliper bolts out more than anything else they were a nightmare to get started :banging: looked like it was just surface rust on the discs but on a closer look the disc had a bit of a lip on the outside face

Image

the old pads looked as if they had been replaced before i got the car, as there was still plenty of meat left on them

Image

so time to put her new discs and pads on

i also sorted the oil pressure sender while i had the drivers wheel off as the usual thing had happened with the wire coming off

and finally wheels back on and jobs a good one

so next thing on the list is to get her mot'd
