someone posted this link a couple of days ago but not sure if many people have seen it, i know the guy says its fitted to a dtm but i know its not right but i would like to know if they should fit a dtm turbo without too much difference or cause any problems with them being 25mm drop as standard?

if they came off a turbo then they should be fine the DTM's came with 25mm lowerd springs as std he probaly is thinking 25mm drop from std hight of std car not an extra 25mm from dtm's

Did the DTMs come with the same 'lowered by 30mm spring but raised by a 5mm pad' setup as a LE, giving a net 25mm drop?

If so, these could be a 30mm drop from standard if the pads are missing.

What pad are you talking about?

An about 4" round flat 'rubber' disc that sits under the bottom normal 'rubber' disc with a bump in that's at each end of the spring.

all calibras have them not just LE's or DTM's so they have nothing to do with adding 5mm on the ride hight, i think there so the spring dosnt rattel and ware its self away

That surprises me.

I know that on all rear beam Cavaliers there is one rubber 'washer' at each end of the spring to help hold it in place and to keep it away from the top/bottom spring seats. The same are also on the Calibra.

I have just not seen this extra 'washer' before my LE and don't understand why it is there as there is no apparent mechanical reason for it.

If it is on the Calibra then is it on IRS Cavaliers as well?

The description was slightly wrong, the LE has an extra 5mm hard rubber disc. Also the LE is on 25mm drop springs, this 5mm disc makes the rear 20mm.

I used them on my Turbos in combination with Eibach Pro springs before swapping to coilovers.

( I'm almost certain that Eibach also made the Irmscher branded springs used on the LE, I can check pretty easily if someone wants absolute confirmation. )

No acces to pix from current location but if it helps the part number is i2704002, maybe 92704002 on Vaux EPC systems. I bought mine through Autovaux but that was sometime ago, they're probably NLS now.
