HELP removal of front shocks

by SAMARAI » Sun Apr 05, 2015 11:23 am

Hi guys and gals.

Im looking for help at swapping front shocks between two of my calibras.
The drivers side front strut in my good cali is knackered and rattles and clanks over any bump on the road. So my plan is to swap struts from my donor cali.
I need some help in the removal of the struts. I haven't been able to find any good sources of info anywhere on the web to help with calibra front shock absorber removal/installation. I have a haybes manual but it's quite brief as always.
I apologize if this has been answered before and would greatly appreciate it if someone could link me or inbox me more details.
I'll also be installing my lowering springs at the same time.

Thanks guys and gals.

Previous owner at the time when I was buying the car said a small bush needed to be replaced. I could work out where it was. any ideas on that?

I have from day one contemplated the possibility of the strut itself not being at fault.
Assuming like you say it could be an anti roll bar, linkage etc how can I test for faulty components.
