Poly or rubber ARB bushings?

by cal16v » Thu Sep 15, 2016 8:20 am

Is there a concensus on this? Are the poly bushes better than the oem rubber ones in the rear? :assshaking:

I'm just talking ARB, not suspension bushes...

Those that have changed to poly bushes what has been the biggest difference in your opinion?

This is what I've decided on...

An 80 ShA rating i.e the 'red' in the Strongflex range supposedly duplicates the hardness of oem rubber. We'll see...

havent fitted poly bushes myself (although have thought about it) but have heard they work really well but have also heard some others say they made the ride too hard. if its just the ARB ones your changing not sure how much of a difference they'll make with the other still being rubber.
BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

Thanks for the reply Ally.

Only looking at the handling characteristics of the rear with oem rubber over poly but, in hindsight the question is mute anyway until the front arb is sorted as well.
