Brake upgrade
Previous member back on the forum now I have time on my hands! Looking for some advice on a brake upgrade for my DTM.
Originally an eco tech but now a LET so only four stud. I have had the turbo refurbed and she’s flying but not stopping right quick!
Shame as I’ve done a complete overhaul on the brakes including caliper rebuilds.
Looking for the best options available for my set up.
Cheers.

Re: Brake upgrade
You could go up to the 308mm discs with the V6/Turbo Std calipers
You can get the caliper carriers from LMF.

Re: Brake upgrade
Mine was an ecotec too that I converted to v6 about 5 years ago. I kept the 4 stud since I prefer the wheels I have on the car now. I changed to v6 redrilled discs and calipers but without a spigot ring to centralise the discs I always had vibration on the front ( was horrible to drive) I trawled the fb sites and found some hispec 4 pots with 308mm discs in 4 stud. After spacing the calipers back with strategically placed washers to clear the alloys I've never looked back. Would share a picture but can't remember how to do that on here sorry.

Re: Brake upgrade
Thanks for the replies, apologies for not replying sooner. I’ve gotta do something as its scarey now on the XEV brakes. I have been tempted by the ksport 304 disc and yellow caliper to match the DTM chips but looking at a grand for that.
Yellow caliper will deffo match up well.

Your best bet is to call them to be honest. And if no luck, you can try eBay for seconds - lots of cars breaking these days (sadly)Crusher wrote:Callyman wrote:You could go up to the 308mm discs with the V6/Turbo Std calipers

Sorted now cheers, couldn’t get Ksports to fit without a load of hassle!
Gone down the V6 Vectra caliper, & hangers along with Mtec 308 discs.
