Hi all,

Just found out my front right wishbone is shot (am I right in calling it the "offside lower"?). I have seen this on ebay:
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10404&item=4503239533&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WD1V</a>

Just need to know if it's the right one and if it's a wise idea to go for a non manufacturer part.

I've been quoted £35 for the labour :-)

Thanks people.

I'd get the quote from Vauxhall and then compare otherwise you are just guessing.

There may be very little difference in price?

Thanks chaps,

VX quoted £57+VAT each. Ouch.

However, I've just found this...<a href="http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10404&item=4510351455&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW</a>

Has anyone had any problems with non GM parts ?

Looks like a very good price for the arm considering the balljoint is included. IIRC Vauxhall quoted me well over sixty quid for the equivalent part for my 16v, and there were two slightly different types listed, with 1996 being the changeover year.

The seller even has a phone number listed so you could sound them out before bidding. As a motor factor they should know what they're on about.

I replaced both of mine a couple of years ago with pattern parts and had no problems with them. Tightened the front end up a bit with all the new balljoints and bushes on it.
