Brake sensor

Any issues relating to suspension, steering and brakes.

Doing a bit of servicing on the car, removed the old front brake sensor as ive had the dash light on for quite a bit but their isn't room between the disc and pad to put the new one in. Do you need to take the caliper apart to do it :?

yeh as MAC says, if you have sensors they normal will fit direct into the pads so if your new pads don't have the gap they are possibly the wrong ones or an earlier spec.....

if your pads were very worn down you shud replace the sensor/s in case they're damaged

The pads were changed about 3 months ago, but the sensors looked worse for ware but didnt have a chance to change them at the same time. I thought it would be a quick job just to click the sensor in but it looks like the pads will have to come out to fit the sensor. Unless it is something to do with the LE having different brakes to the standard turbo and therefore not fitting?

Nah, brakes will be the same as the other Turbo's and the V6. For love or money I couldn't get my sensor to fit in the new pads I bought from Vauxhall so just disconnected the sensor wire from the loom
