good info though mark, but I think he has one of the Astra dashs that have the check control along the bottom. If so they look even harder to fit

Oh dear. That piece of blue flappy plastic that is stuck to the back is the circuit board.

Where to start.....

You will need to 'carefully' take the old one off your original dash and see if it will fit. If it doesn't the you will need to solder new wires in!

Then you will need to cross reference the dash warning bulbs with the connector pin number.

Then, you have to match up the dash connector wires to the same wires in the loom.

A bit concerned about that brown connector in the hole, that may be for the check control. If so you will need a plug for it as well.

its one of those..someone else had one of those and ended up going to an auto electrician to get it working

don't think you will be able to use your old circuit board, as it wont fit the Astra dash

is that all the instructions you got..the X9 X8 connections??

and do you know if the blue plastic circuit board is connected in any way to anything..also the plastic bit along the bottom???

have a read of this

But there is away round it but its complicated, try a search on Digital dash or LCD dash

Fraz, this only works for the LCD right? as I tried to use the Blue/Red cable pin 19 if I remember and I dont get a signal on it. My ABS control unit is not the bigger pin type..Its been in a lock up for a while but I need to address this soon.

I got a amplifier circuit from mark but that didnt work either. Im still thinking about buying the pre-scaler you told me about ages ago and I want an LCD display but only once I have managed to get my needle jobby working.

I have the GTE display I got from fleabay but havent tested yet. Got to get the engine rebuilt and pretty quickly. Then I can sort the dash out. Im pretty sure I know what to do speed signal wise. But I cant be assed with the cutting and splicing so might just buy a ready made LCD. The GTE ones can flip from KM to miles if I'm correct. Such an old thing on my todo list but im gonna do it if it kills me.

I know the ABS module on my SE5 is not the later one that I had on the LE as the LE was electronic drive which is the reason why im having the lack of speedo.

Funny enough I got caught speeding on the M1 but asked for the video and they didnt provide it or fine me. (phew)

I guess that doesnt matter thinking about it as speedo's are around 4MPH faster then the actual reading anyhow. You can check that on your sat nav. I remember hearing this years ago when I worked for SBD from the Nissan boys.

Hi V6 Steve

I am looking for a genuine calibra/cav 3 LCD, at the moment I have had to fit an Astra one which doesn't fill the aperture fully.

I am still on the hunt for a Calibra one

John
