Got myself a full zender kit!

by Richiem » Fri Oct 10, 2014 7:23 pm

Decided to go ahead with zender kitting the car after getting the full kit at a good price.
Always liked the kit as it adds the right amount of change without spoiling the car ( i think )
Not sure weather to go with the spoiler tbh as it a bit over kill so im gonna spray and fit it and see how it looks on.
Anyone got any knowledge of fitting these kits? By that i mean What to bond it with and methods of fitted for best results?
Have been told to use tiger seal to fit it but this im told will make it impossible to remove once fitted!!
Anyone got any other ideas for bonding glues??
Cheers rich

I had my Irmy kit done by a very good bodyshop, they used a 3M PU bonding agent. Looked a lot like silicone but did the trick! And a screw either end.

Cheers bud! tbh, feeling quite nervous about sticky anything to the freshly painted car after it took so long to get her looking fresh but this is something ive always wanted to do. Maybe thats why im looking at a option to take it off later lol
The kit comes with these rails that screw into the sills under the door and im even worried about fitted them as it means making holes in the cleen car ( if that makes sense))
Ps/ Looking for a irmscher back box if you come by one?? The twin round tail pipe type that alot of le turbos came with))

Well Done...

I've always liked the Zender Kit...

Personally, I would NOT fit the Door Panels, or perhaps the Rear Spoiler...

Certainly fit the Front and Rear Bumpers, and the Side Skirts...

Sikaflex bonding glue, was used for my side skirts...

Tough one buddy as the side skirts are one part with the panels on the side of the car!
Reckon it would look odd without the door panels.. Deffo not keen on the spoiler though! To big and clumsy! Gonna keep the spoiler i already have fitted with the brake light in. Seen a car with the kit on with the same spoiler and it looks better i think>>

Sort of not liking the rubbish side skirts on standard Steve! and that nasty rubber part on the front bumper.
Just wanting mine to stand out a little and be different to the others without going to far from standard!
Had half this kit on my no3 and it looked sweet,
Tbh, not decided yet!
