Help with brake sizes??

by MartyG » Wed Aug 27, 2008 1:52 pm

Hey everyone, my car has it's MOT tomoro, and it needs brakes all round, now it seems when i call up places for some prices they can't just tell me from the year of the car... there asking the size of the discs. they give me 2 sizes to choose from.. i've been saying the smalled one because i assumed the larger was for the V6?

Can anyone tell me the size of front and back discs on a 2.0 16v non turbo.

Also they said there is 2 choices for rear discs... with or without hub?

Thanks in advance

According to Haynes thet should be 256mm front and 260mm rear, the V6 and Turbo had 288mm on front

As far as I know there is only 1 type of rear disc for the Cally, I've also checked on the web and only 1 rear type is listed.

Looking at the web link there is only 1 type for your year and engine.

Might be worth waiting to see if anyone else comes up with anything else before ordering yours.

Funny that - My turbo has bigger then normal trurbo pads and calipers. Each time I go for them I have to get vectra V6 Pads and the calipers I could only buy from vauxhall as all the motor factors have the wrong size (too small) either that or vauxhall upgraded the brakes on teh LE to Vectra V6 spec?
