It looks like they've used some force. I hope they've bent their key & don't have a spare.
Hopefully it was just an isolated incident.

I worry it will happen again! Definitely looks targeted!

There is that & I can't say that I'm not worried about the possibility but if I just leave it as is or sell it then I may as well be saying the vandals win & I can't have anything nice.

No worries mate, been going through the motions all weekend of what to do or not to do about & still can't make my bloody mind up!

You're absolutely right, there's every chance it could happen again which would probably tip me over the edge if I did get it all done through the insurance. The £160 excess to pay isn't too much of a concern but it more what it'll do to my premiums over the next few years. Even with protected NCB they're gonna load it to get something back & I'll have less shopping around choice with a whacking great claim to declare for the next 5 years.

Can't think of anyone I've upset, can't think of any reason why it was my car, if I could even slightly point the finger it may help a little.

I've just run a few quotes through on the typical comparison sites (using details similar to mine) & I'm getting quotes in the region of £250 more than I'm paying now by adding a malicious damage claim of around £3k.

That's likely to continue for a few years as well so that really puts me back in the "do I bother" position.

Personally I would, but I'd also invest in a cheap cctv set up.

Then again, its only a BMW...............................

Nowhere to put CCTV at the side of a road & I could be parked anywhere on it.

When I first put my 19"s on, I had the tyres slashed. I had the police over to look at my cctv footage, and they said that they knew who it was. They said they can go and speak to them, but they will probably then come back and do something else to it. WTF?

Well, I've got an idea about who it may have been now. Was one of the first people I thought of when it happened but didn't know their name & it was just a hunch. I do now & it matches the initials written in the brake dust on my alloy.

Biding my time a bit as need to wear a few people down first to get total confirmation then there will be blood.

Wrote his initials in your brake dust?
Either a complete idiot or been set up.
