I got this made as the metal one was fooked. I can't get anymore made as i don't work there anymore. I'm not sure but i think its made from some type of plastic.

I removed the old multi plug from the old flange

I had to change it a bit so i could remove the plugs if i needed to.

there is a countersunk ring around the s/steel pipes to put some type of bonding compound in to hold the pipes but i may change this part.

I have removed the drawings so that one day the club may be able to get them made as i would rather the club made the money.
I have them on a PDF file and will send the drawings to any club mod if asked for them.

Thanks for posting the drawings up Phil.
I have taken them to see how much it is going to cost to get some made and the minimum order required by the guy making them.
Will keep you all updated when i get some news

Hi Alan, i hope you can get them made. I would say to the guy to mod the under side a bit because i hadn't removed the multi plug from the old flange when i got it made. As you can see from the 2nd and 3rd photos the multi plug sits flush to the base and the mod i had to do to remove the plugs if i ever need to as the multi plug will need to be bonded to the flange as i dont trust it just being pressed in, i bet it will work its way out over time and let water and dirt in.

I now have a price to make some of these caps without the mod that Phill has done as i don,t have one to take measurements off to give the maker.
Price per cap with a minimum order of 20 is £29.40 + VAT per cap made in aluminium alloy.
This price is down in the expensive south. If somebody up North wants to have a look and see if they could be made a bit cheaper, that would be great.
If people wanted me to order them i would need firm orders and paid for up front

Well done Alan  . I have been out to the hut and dug out my spare tank from my old ecotec to prove it fits. The 1st photo shows the plugs for the fuel pump and sender unit that we need to be able to remove to change the pump/sender.
The 2nd is the depth from the top to the underside of the flange, 15mm. The mod i was talking about is to cut/turn that down to 10mm or 5mm as that should give the room needed.
The 3rd and 4th and 5th shows the rubber seal fits the flange and both parts fit the tank. i didn't fit it all the way as im not ready to fit yet.

About 6-7 years ago Vexorg and V6 steve were talking about getting a set amount made (if the price was ok) and bought by the club to sell to members, thats why i kept quiet about it till now, but i hope you get the numbers needed to get this made.

Dont know what i did wrong but the photos are showing from photo 5 to 1

Hi Phill,

The drawing shws the overall height of the cap at 31mm with the 90mm dia bore being 23mm deep. This means the thickness left is 8mm, so no mod should be required ( if i have read it correctly ), so this should be fine for putting the electrical connector in.

Hi odbod, I'm sorry to say that it never went as far as getting some made. It's a shame as it was a good fix for an issue we will all have at some point. :(
