Any issues relating to suspension, steering and brakes.

anybody know if i can get hold of standard height front 16v springs that are harder than vx ones? im doing a little experiment!

im on the 3rd set of custom springs for the front but they've all been too soft.

will V6 fronts fit? they must be harder due to the extra engine weight right?

...........wheres that angle grinder!

For inofo all Calibra shock absorbers will fit all modesl of Calibra, ie turbo shocks will fit 8v Calibra, they use all the same mounting points. So in theory you can fit the springs from any Calibra too.

V6 springs will be harder but will make the fron of your 16v look like it's on stilts. One you start angle grinding coils off you start to make the spring weaker.

Sort of Gran... When I replaced my Turbo suspension with Koni's I kept the springs (shocks were shot). I might chuck em on my new 8v.

Cutting springs is really really bad.

Gran how about a set of say -35mm springs for a V6 fitted may only give you about -25mm on a 16V due to less weight

May be worth trying to find out the spring rates and working out how much it'll drop by compared to the difference's in axles weights
